BAND PETTING ZOO
Welcome back Grade 6 Band!
We usually have a Band petting zoo in May for you to try out different instruments before you actually get to choose your instrument for September. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to run a petting zoo this year; however, thanks to many music teachers in the lower mainland with the help of Long & McQuade, we now have this wonderful resource for our beginner Band students.
I have also attached a Musical Instruments Guide by Yamaha Corporation for you to read. This is an excellent source of information and will definitely help you make a better choice for you.
Please do remember to watch this clip all the way to the end. You might find your new passion right here as you watch this. Enjoy!

Landfill Harmonic
Music can transform society. Landfill Harmonic Orchestra is a great example of how one simple idea can transform lives and provide an opportunity to transcend one's situation in life. A music teacher helps children living by a Paraguay landfill site to reach their dreams with instruments made from rubbish.
